Position Summary

As a Dietary Aide, you will support the dietary team in meal preparation and service while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. Your role is essential in ensuring residents receive quality meals that meet their dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and serve meal trays based on dietary guidelines
  • Assist with meal service and food preparation
  • Clear trays, wash dishes, and operate the dishwasher
  • Monitor and record dishwasher temperature and sanitation levels
  • Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining areas
  • Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and equipment
  • Store food and supplies safely and properly
  • Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout shift
  • Follow all food safety and infection control procedures
  • Support the cook and dietary supervisor as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Certification
  • Experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred
  • Ability to learn food service routines quickly
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
