What You'll Do

As a Dietary Aide, you'll play an important role in making sure our residents receive meals that are safe, accurate, appealing, and served with care.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with food preparation and meal service.
  • Maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensuring food, plates, hot-base lowerators, and steam tables are properly heated.
  • Checking trays for accurate food items and serving portions before they leave the kitchen.
  • Ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, recorded, and reviewed.
  • Preparing attractive, organized trays with clean silverware, cups, dishes, and dry plate covers.
  • Monitoring food preparation quantities and communicating any shortages or excesses to the supervisor.
  • Following all food safety, sanitation, and resident-care standards.
