I. POSITION OBJECTIVE

Fosters an environment that strengthens a sense of family and a rhythm of daily life that meets the needs of the residents and other care partners (family, team members, volunteers) through mealtime support on the bistros.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures excellent customer service is provided to residents, family members, guests, and staff.
  • Serves residents based on their Meal Ticket preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Partners with other neighborhood team members and volunteers by implementing engagement and mealtime opportunities.
  • Maintains a clean bistro kitchen by sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and cleaning bistro equipment on every shift.
  • Cleans floors and walls in the bistro.
  • Stores all tableware and other items in the proper area.
  • Properly disposes of trash after each meal.
  • Assists in serving residents in the bistros.

 

III. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director. 
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with the department dress code.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

 

IV. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum completion of ninth grade or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral directions.
  • Must be comfortable working with COVID-positive patients.
  • Must comply with Masonic Village vaccination policies.
