Position Title: Dietary Aide II

Reports To: Dietary Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for setting up service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Responsibilities include Maintaining of proper temperature of food; proper and attractive service to patients and staff; cleaning of all cafeteria areas. Maintains a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance. Follows directions and completes tasks in a timely manner.
HOURS
8 per Day / 4-5 Days per Week

CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
- Setting-up areas of cafeteria beverages, food items. Desserts, salad bar, fruits and garish, soups, etc.
- Serves hot and cold foods as directed by the Dietary Supervisor.
- Set-up area with proper dishes, glasses, cups, and other eating utensils for meals. Also, makes sure to have all paper supplies on hand.
- Prepares snacks at required times according to facility policy, records temperature of refrigerator and freezer.
- Cleans and sanitizes utensils and food preparation areas after each use.
- Follows posted cleaning schedules utilizing proper sanitation and cleaning methods.
- Practices safety infection control and emergency procedures according to facility policies.
- Attends in-service education and staff meetings as required.
- Is courteous, considerate, and cooperative when communicating with all facility personnel and residents.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Dietary Service Supervisor and/or Administration.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Dependable, with previous experience working in quality food production.
