Dietary Aide

Schedule : 7am to 3pm variable days 35+ hours per week
Pay: $19-21 per hour DOE
Position Responsibilities:
The Dietary Aide will work on our tray line for food production. This position builds the food trays and check them a 3rd time before they are given to the residents. This position must be able to work on the weekend as well as weekdays. Full training will be provided but some kitchen experience is necessary, preferably in the skill nursing environment. This person will join a progressive culinary team that showcases the ability to produce quality food in a nursing facility environment.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions
- Experience in a kitchen environment
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility kitchen advantageous.
- Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
- Requires empathy and compassion for the elderly.
