Pay Range: $17.48–$17.50 per hour, based on experience
Visalia Post Acute is seeking a dependable and caring On-Call Dietary Aide to join our team! Help support our residents’ nutrition, comfort, and well-being by assisting with meal preparation and providing friendly, attentive meal service.
Schedule: On-call, providing coverage as needed. Hours and shifts may vary based on facility needs.
Responsibilities- Assist with preparing and serving meals according to approved menus and resident dietary needs.
- Assemble meal trays with the correct foods, portions, beverages, and utensils.
- Follow instructions for special diets, food textures, and resident preferences.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas.
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen, dining, and storage areas.
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and properly storing food and supplies.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
- Communicate resident meal concerns to the Dietary Supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to provide timely, courteous service.
- Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
