About Lace:

Lace is a light wallet platform from IOG that brings together a wealth of Web3 features, from managing digital assets, to accessing NFTs, DApps, and DeFi services, so you can discover and enjoy a new world of digital experiences. Securely send and receive digital assets, easily stake your ada and participate in the Cardano network, or send multiple assets to different addresses in one transaction. Lace does everything a wallet does – and more. Lace is already evolving, with many new features in the pipeline. From a DApp Store, to a mobile app, digital identity solutions, and more – this is just the beginning.  

What the role involves:

There comes a point in the life of every engineer where they find themselves gnashing their teeth at the inefficiency and awkwardness of their build and development tooling. Most of us just grit our teeth and ignore it, but there’s something very satisfying about actually oiling the gears so they work properly. If the idea of being a real force multiplier for your team makes you feel proud, then come and help us make our development tooling world-class!

As a DevX Engineer you are in charge of ensuring that our development teams are happy, effective, and productive. This involves using, creating, and configuring a variety of tools and frameworks to make development easier, all the way from writing the software to building and preparing it for deployment. You will also focus on administration of the source control system. You work closely with the developers, the QA and the SRE teams in order to define, improve and maintain our software delivery process.

  • Create, maintain, document, and optimize automated build processes
  • Create and maintain internal tools to support development of build workflows, including advanced systems to improve our build and development processes across the organization.
  • Work with the development team to set up and maintain functional and effective development build environment
  • Support the QA team in the definition of continuous testing processes and validation pipelines
  • Support the needs of the SRE team and contribute to the definition of a reliable continuous integration pipelines
  • Contribute to the administration of the source version control system and to managing users, groups, permissions, and general instance configuration of the source control
Requirements

Who you are:

  • Experience with TypeScript/ECMAScript programming languages and their common build, packaging and deployment tools
  • Unix system administration experience
  • Experience working in internal tooling teams or SRE/devops previously
  • Demonstration of working with a variety of functional teams and helping them with diverse problems
  • Proven experience with GitHub Actions and similar CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI, TravisCI, Jenkins) for automating builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with building container images (Docker) and managing container orchestration (Kubernetes) to support scalable, reproducible deployments.
  • Strong skills in maintaining CI pipelines, quickly diagnosing and resolving build or deployment issues to ensure continuous delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of Node.js runtime environments, including performance tuning, debugging, and resolving complex issues in JavaScript/TypeScript codebases.
  • Experience with Fastlane or other mobile build and deployment tools (e.g., Gradle, Xcode) to streamline mobile app releases.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native tools (such as Helm, Kustomize, Prometheus, etc.) and practices for infrastructure automation and monitoring is a plus.
