Leidos is seeking a DevSecOps Software Engineer to support the maritime autonomy team. In this position you will work in a diverse environment that allows you to get into every aspect of infrastructure, configuration, and software deployment across the software development lifecycle. You will be joining an existing team which has already successfully delivered for our customers and plan to continue their reputation of excellence. You will closely work with the Development team as well as other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop and support several projects in an Agile SAFe environment. The role will also work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate systems. Additionally, this role will help automate and streamline operations and processes; as well as build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support software deployments, infrastructure baselines, and operational availability of production systems.
- Analyze, design, code and update software for new features and performance improvements.
- Manage, build, configure, administer, operate and maintain all components that comprise the DevOps environment.
- Assist the Sr. DevOps Engineer in continuously enhancing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and following best practices in compliance with DoD policies.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate tool deployment and other tasks. Maintain build environments.
- Collaborate with all teams to support software deployments and integrations.
- Work with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment.
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- 2+ years of experience in being a DevSecOps Software Engineer (or experience in a similar field)
- Bachelor’s Degree in fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, etc.
- Experience with one or more programming languages including Python, BASH scripting, C++, Java
- Demonstrated experience with DevOps methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with one or more of the following tools: Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Jenkins, and programming in a Linux environment.
- Demonstrated experience working within a software development team and supporting developers and developer activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with one or more disciplines:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (RKE2) in containerization, Kubernetes management and automation technologies.
- Experience working with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).

Pay Range:Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
