As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be joining a highly collaborative team of multi-disciplinary IT professionals responsible for the development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) of advanced IT products and services supporting RTX programs and products. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and adoption of DevOps/DevSecOps processes and tools to improve the speed, consistency, and quality of the IT products and services we deliver to our internal and external customers.
Please note that an advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
This position is an ONSITE position at a customer facility in Chambersburg, PA.
What You Will Do:
Assist in the development and management of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate and accelerate the building, testing, and deployment of IT products and services.
Assist in the development and management of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) configuration baselines for hardware and software components to suit a variety of challenging deployment scenarios.
Work with software developers and systems engineers to develop and implement DevSecOps processes and tools to support the automation of system build, test, and deployment activities.
Provide operational support to internal RTX developers and engineers on common DevSecOps processes and tools (e.g., Git, GitLab, Artifactory, Chef).
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of performance metrics to identify continuous improvement opportunities for our DevSecOps processes and tools.
Assist in selecting, evaluating, and deploying tools to improve the speed, consistency, and quality of delivered IT products and services.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
Experience developing, deploying, and managing information systems and business applications in virtual, containerized, and/or cloud environments.
Must have or obtain DoD 8670.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level 2 certification within the first year of employment.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience creating, managing, and maintaining continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) automation pipelines. (GitLab Runners, Jenkins)
Experience managing IT infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools in production environments. (Chef, Ansible)
Working knowledge of Git version control system, especially in context of managing code and configuration repositories. (GitLab, GitHub)
Experience using operating system platform native tools and scripting languages. (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
Familiarity with application programming languages used by RTX programs and product teams. (e.g. Java EE, .NET, Javascript-based platforms such as Node.js/Angular/React, C/C++)
Familiarity with Linux- and Windows-based operating system platforms, especially as deployed to virtualized, containerized, and cloud-based infrastructure platforms.
Familiarity with information assurance and security concepts and experience implementing cybersecurity controls in information systems and networks.
Demonstrable work history showing steady increase in the breadth and depth of relevant knowledge and experience.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, but rarely to exceed 1-2 weeks per year.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
