Primary Responsibilities
As a DevSecOps software engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the capability, quality, and reliability of our delivered products. You will work closely with our systems engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, and quality assurance teams to design, build, and test spacecraft flight software and firmware in a highly automated DevSecOps CI/CD environment. You will have an opportunity to collaborate, learn, and contribute through all phases of the product life cycle from concept development and detailed design through integration, testing, and post-delivery support. You will contribute to the implementation, expansion, configuration, compliance, security, operations, and maintenance of multiple technologies and tools to make up an entire software factory.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 4+ years’ experience.
- Proven experience in a DevSecOps or a related role, having designed, written, and delivered Infrastructure as Code software that improved the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency (Ansible/Chef/Flux/Argo).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins Agents or GitLab Runners, Docker, Kubernetes, Github, Artifactory, and security scanning tools (Xray/Aqua/SonarQube).
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, C, and C++ with the ability to write, maintain, and troubleshoot code.
- Proficiency with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash).
- Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., git) to manage source code in a defined branching structure.
- Experience with UNIX and/or Linux.
- Working knowledge of Agile Principles and the Scrum framework; experience championing Agile development processes and adopting modern DevSecOps workflows and practices.
- Understanding of software quality assurance best practices and the ability to contribute to the improvement of software processes.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on progress and results.
- U.S Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Linux and Networking background.
- Experience with embedded C and hard real-time operating systems; Green Hills Integrity specifically is a bonus.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies to assess the performance and scalability of software applications (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
- Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Have or are willing to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
