DevSecOps Engineer (Senior)-

Amentum is now hiring for a DevSecOps Engineer (Senior) LEAD position in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIRPosition Description:The candidate will perform the following duties:

• Responsible for creating and implementing systems that are optimized for scalability, functionality, and security.
• Ensure these systems are up to date and meet the needs of the organization.
• Collaborating with software engineers to understand and identify critical areas for security implementation in the development process.
• Designing, testing, and implementing secure software development practices and standards to improve the security posture of the organization.
• Automating security controls, data protection, and vulnerability management systems in deployment pipelines.
• Continuously monitoring the security of applications and infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Developing or implementing open-source/third-party tools to assist in detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats.
• Participating in incident response and forensic analysis of cyber security events.
• Conducting regular security assessments, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Providing training and awareness to development and operations teams on secure coding practices and threat mitigation.
• Documenting and communicating security procedures, policies, and how they align with the company’s business processes.
• Stay abreast of new security technologies and integrate them into the security architecture design where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline, is required.
• Nine years of relevant experience
• Must have experience Configuring and maintaining various network hardware, software, and systems to include Cisco Call Manager, Vocality systems, Cisco routers and switches, Dell switches, Cisco and Juniper Firewalls, Performance Enhancing Proxies, Polycom and Tandberg VTCs, and various cryptographic equipment (KG175s and KG250s).
• Must be CompTIA Security+ certified/licensed
• Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fifteen years of experience in providing technical support in varying capacities to projects (e.g. ITN, ModRF, CTSO) to include, but not limited to, infrastructure and virtualization, integration and testing of vendor products, automation, custom scripting (via PowerShell and Bash), network configuration, vulnerability assessment and resolution, and DevOps.
• Experience in performing tasks in the following disciplines: Information Assurance, Server Administration, Network Administration, Virtualization, Scripting, Automation, Application and Desktop support.
• Experience providing additional lab support to include installation and configuration of Dell servers, NetApp storage appliances, VMware ESXi, vCenter Orchestrator, vCenter Server, and script creation.
