About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled DevOps Systems Engineer experienced with Red Hat and Windows products to join us to boost design and development effectiveness and accelerate our delivery flow.

Building on our ambition to deliver our Platform Services applying agile practices, we are looking for somebody who brings a strong customer focus, a desire to understand the customer needs, and help address their challenges. If you are interested in all aspects of the IT services delivery process (architecture, design, implementation, testing, operations and support) you could be our ideal candidate.

Education

  • Bachelor degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Linux, RHCSA/CSE is a plus

Experience

2-5 years of experience in a similar position in a comparable technical environment

  • Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administration and Windows managing medium to large scale infrastructure
  • OS : RHEL 8.x/9.x and Windows – Proficiency with OS commands, disk volumes, kernel knowledge
  • Perform regular Platform Infrastructure maintenance and upgrade activities using Ansible Tower and Red Hat Satellite
  • Experience in VMware operations like templates, snapshot, managing/building new VMs
  • Experience in writing simple shell scripts, Ansible playbooks, power shell for routine System Admin tasks
  • Experience in using Red Hat Satellite content views for different versions of Platform and Application content and RHEL subscription and activation key management.
  • Familiarity with Orchestration tools like Red Hat Ansible Tower and vRealize Automation
  • Familiar/working knowledge on CI/CD build and deploy tools (GIT/Bitbucket)
  • Familiar with Infrastructure architecture concepts.
  • Exposure to Jira, Confluence, Nexus, ServiceNow
  • Exposure to container technology – Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Install and configure systems & software applications packages on servers using standard installation procedures or scripts
  • Provide technical support for various applications
  • Respond to customer queries regarding software products within specified time limits
  • Establish and follow standard operating procedures to resolve complex problems
  • Keep abreast of new developments in technology
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending upgrades of existing packages to enhance operability and support of application
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to identify problems and provide resolutions
  • Carry out procedures and tests to ensure service and software standards.
  • Maintain the culture of continuous learning and growth in Team.
  • Effective communication to establish understanding by others to establish objectives and business situations and discussions.
  • Encourages effective team working within and across the department and leads by example.
