Our Paris office will host our future core R&D team in charge of the development of our flagship product, Construct. Construct is a B2B SaaS construction management and quality control platform designed from the ground up for utility-scale solar projects. By combining GIS, AI/ML, IoT, and mobile technologies, the solution drives major improvements in safety, quality, cost, and schedule for the solar industry. Construct has supported more than 16+ GW of projects from leading owners and EPCs.
The Role
Terabase’s DevOps is a member of the Software Platform & Applications Team, reporting to the Head of Software Platform & Applications. As a member of this team you will work, learn, and grow in Terabase’s unique operating environment and culture: high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven. Successful candidates will be highly capable in each of the following dimensions (among others): adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, problem solving, pro-activity, collaboration, operating in a dynamic environment and dedicated to the mission of accelerating the decarbonization of the global economy by utilizing digital and automation technology to further reduce the cost of utility-scale solar.
The Software Platform and Applications team is a full-stack team that will be expected to design, build, release, and support features for our flagship SaaS software product Construct. Team responsibilities will also include ownership of internal-facing projects and programs that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and developer experience across all Terabase teams.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps who can solve complex problems, write high-quality code and contribute to a team of engineers. To succeed in this position, you must be an experienced technologist and a team member who is pleasant and rewarding to work with.
Our new DevOps will be asked to actively collaborate with other engineering teams located in the United States as well as with our external software development partners centered in Belgrade, Serbia.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles
- BS in Computer Science
- Design/development/testing experience delivering complex software/digital product solutions into commercial/industrial projects
- Proficiency in cloud-hosted software environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) – we are primarily an AWS shop
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby
- Proficiency in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) concepts and techniques
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation tools
- Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and Linux/Unix systems administration
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar platforms
- FinOps experience
- Ability to work remotely and to work with distributed teams in various time zones
- Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
- Understanding of and experience in unit testing and test-driven development.
- Solid understanding of agile workflow management process and software product lifecycle
- Good understanding of ‘gitflow’ source code management development techniques and process
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent academic/industry experience/training
- Expertise in cybersecurity
- Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
- Knowledge of database administration and performance tuning
- Startup company experience with a focus on building new products and accessing new markets
