You will join Guidewire’s Professional Services team, a global group that partners with P&C insurers to deliver successful Guidewire Cloud implementations and unlock measurable business value. Job Description
What You Will Do
Build the Foundation: Develop and evolve our Multi-Tenant Cloud Platform, specifically focusing on our hybrid-tenancy model to balance isolation and efficiency.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the design and development of ProfessionalService delivery using Guidewire Cloud Platform built on top of EKS (Kubernetes),
Terraform, and Golang.
Platform Services: Build high-performance services for Developer Experience, AuthN/AuthZ, and Service Mesh using Java and Spring Boot.
Application Delivery Orchestration: Deploy applications across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Observability & Reliability: Implement advanced observability patterns (Logs, Metrics, Traces) to ensure the health of massive-scale distributed systems.
Code Excellence: Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD) and pair programming to maintain a "quality-first" engineering culture.
CI/CD Leadership: Automate everything. Deploy containerized microservices to AWS using robust, modern CI/CD pipelines.
What We Are Looking For
Technical Versatility: Senior-level proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python. You should be comfortable switching contexts between application logic and infrastructure logic.
Cloud Native Mindset: Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes in a production AWS environment.
Systems Thinker: You understand how to engineer for scalability, availability, and security—not just "making it work."
Collaborative Spirit: A team-first advocate who thrives in agile, social environments and enjoys the knowledge-sharing aspect of pairing.
AI-Forward: A curiosity for leveraging AI tools (like Copilot or LLM integrations) to enhance developer productivity and system insights.
Education & Experience (Requirements)
Education: BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical industry experience.
Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience in a SaaS/PaaS environment, specifically supporting large-scale enterprise workloads.
Infrastructure Mastery: Proven track record with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
Advanced Orchestration: Hands-on experience with KubeVela and Crossplane for multi-cloud application delivery is highly preferred.
Environment: Strong command of the Linux ecosystem and distributed systems architecture.
