Requirements
Responsibilities
● Lead and guide a team of 4–5 DevOps / Production Support Engineers, promoting operational excellence and fostering team development
● Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 support for critical Production Trading systems and infrastructure
● Take ownership of and manage the widely used Order Management System (OMS) and Market Data delivery systems
● Monitor, diagnose, and report on the health and performance of trading systems and infrastructure
● Drive incident management efforts, conduct root cause analyses (RCA), and lead post-incident reviews to enhance platform stability
● Work closely with Traders, Quants, Developers, and external clients to understand operational needs and resolve issues promptly
● Design and deploy automation solutions, self-healing mechanisms, and improvements to support system reliability
● Act as the primary technical escalation contact for trading platform users
● Ensure seamless operational handovers across regions in accordance with the Follow-The-Sun support model
● Participate in deployment planning, release management, and preparation for production readiness
● Support initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure scalability, observability, and continuous enhancement
● Adapt to non-standard working hours as required by project schedules and market demands
Qualifications
● Over 5 years of experience in DevOps / Production Support, preferably in Trading or Financial Services sectors
● Proven experience leading or mentoring teams of at least 4–5 engineers
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized engineering institution
● Strong practical knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration
● Excellent scripting and automation abilities in Python and Bash/Shell scripting
● Ability to manage multiple incidents and tasks efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
● Solid understanding of Incident Management, RCA procedures, and operational best practices
● Experience working within a Follow-The-Sun support framework and managing smooth operational transitions
● Basic proficiency in SQL and database query writing
● Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving capabilities
● Strong communication skills with fluency in English
● Good understanding of financial products including Cash Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Currencies, Commodities, and FX markets
● Comprehensive knowledge of the Trading Lifecycle, Futures & Options trading, and electronic trading systems
Preferred Skills
● Experience supporting low-latency or high-frequency trading environments
● Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure management
● Understanding of exchange connectivity and market data systems
● Proven ability to drive operational improvements and effectively mentor junior engineers
