Job Overview
As a DevOps engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team to deliver robust and efficient engineering practice directed by business constraints while respecting controls. The role requires active collaboration with the developers, stakeholders, architects, and teams outside your area. You are also expected to report to your squad and chapter lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and operation of a centralized automation platform based on Ansible Automation Platform and Azure DevOps.
- Design and operate automation solutions that enable teams to independently manage and automate IT environments.
- Develop, standardize, and maintain Ansible playbooks for RHEL-based systems and middleware platforms.
- Automate installation, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of application and web server environments.
- Ensure automation solutions meet operational, security, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with international developers, architects, and platform teams.
- Participate actively in squad and chapter activities, contributing to shared standards and best practice.
Key Capabilities/Experience
- Practical experience with Ansible-based automation in enterprise or platform
environments. - Hands-on experience with RHEL systems and middleware or web server operations.
- Experience working in cross-functional, international DevOps or platform teams.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into scalable automation solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have:
- Solid understanding of automation, infrastructure, and platform operations. (AAP, AnsibleTower, Azure DevOps)
- Experience developing and operating reusable automation components.
- Basic scripting or automation-related experience (with bash, python or equivalent)
- Independent, structured working style with a strong quality mindset.
- Good communication skills and teamwork in international environments.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good to have:
- Experience with using Ansible in production environments.
- Familiarity with JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, Podman, PostgreSQL or NGINX.
- Understanding of enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- Linux system administration background. (preferably RHEL)
- Monitoring systems (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana or equivalent)
