Playtech‘s GPAS (Gaming Platform as a Service) Team is looking for a resilient and proactive DevOps Engineer with excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Please note that this is a military cover position.

Your influential mission. You will...

• Ensure services' Service Level Objectives (SLO) meet their targets.
• Guarantee high availability and fault tolerance of services in production, including on-premises infrastructure.
• Handle production system monitoring, including alerting and dashboards.
• Install, release, and upgrade services to Staging and Production environments.
• Improve configuration management playbooks.
• Address production problems and incidents.
• Create automated tools and scripts for internal usage.

Components for success. You...

• Have 3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, Site reliability engineering, and/or System engineering.
• Demonstrate a strong skill set in Linux and Networking.
• Have experience with Docker containers.
• Possess solid experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2 and S3.
• Show solid experience in configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.
• Have good troubleshooting and investigation skills.
• Possess knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools and processes, such as Git, Jenkins pipelines, ArgoCD, and Artifactory.
• Demonstrate programming skills in Bash or Python
• Experience with orchestration solutions like Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, or Nomad.
• Have an intermediate level of English proficiency.

• Holding a university degree in technical fields such as Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related disciplines.
• Possessing certifications in technologies and tools like Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, monitoring solutions, Amazon Cloud, or networking (e.g., CCNA).
• Knowledge of Couchbase and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with ElasticStack, Grafana, Prometheus, Istio, and Calico.
• Experience with F5 and Nginx load balancers.

GPAS (Gaming Platform as a Service) TEAM
This role is part of the GPAS team at Playtech which is instrumental for ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of services in production, setting up and managing monitoring systems, handling production problems and incidents, participating in release management, processing customer requests, and automating processes. Our team is comprised of DevOps and ProdOps engeneers tasked with meeting service level objectives (SLOs), deploying services, managing configuration playbooks, and striving for for rapid issue resolution. Our work ensures the robustness and reliability of the gaming platform, which hosts over 700 games and processes nearly a billion transactions daily.
