Job Description – Dev Ops Engineer

Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to lead the collaboration with SRE Engineers and DevSecOps Engineers to formulate designs that can be built, tested and deployed through the Route to Live and into Production using continuous integration / deployment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Configure build and deploy pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline).
- Automate: For instance -:
- React and Flask build (npm install, npm run build)
- Python backend packaging (pip install, unit tests)
- QA automation test runs (trigger Selenium/PyTest/Cypress suites)
- Deployment to AWS environments (Dev → QA → Prod).
- Containerization & Orchestration
- Create Docker images for both React and Python apps.
- Use ECS/EKS (Kubernetes), or Docker Compose for deployments.
- Manage multi-environment configurations (dev, qa, prod).
- Knowledge on Automation QA Integration
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipeline:
- Run Selenium/Cypress or PyTest on each deployment.
- Automatically publish test results and screenshots.
- Block deployment if regression or smoke tests fail.

- Monitoring & Logging
- Implement logging and monitoring:
- Alerts on high latency, failed builds, or resource exhaustion.

- Designs and ensures the use of continuous delivery pipelines and tools to fully automate deployment, testing, delivery and management of development, QA and production systems
- Collaborates with other Leads in other Technology functions to deliver reliable, robust, scalable solutions which can be built, tested and deployed through a standardized Route to Live and into Production using continuous integration / deployment
- Identifies and implements DevOps engineering best practices
- Continuous learning and evaluation of the latest approaches, tools and technologies

Job Requirements:
Must Have:
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience
- Strong experience in cloud environments, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as code, containers, serverless
- Provisioning of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Collaborate closely with developers to automate and improve development, testing and release process to deliver applications at speed and scale
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines, process automation, configuration management
- Knowledge of Git, Github flows, Github actions / Jenkins
Good to have:
- Experience in AWS cloud.
- Experience in Terraform
- Experience in MongoDB
- Experience in PostgreSQL
- Python/SQL/Scripting
