We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support infrastructure, deployment automation, observability, and 24/7 production reliability for a key VA claims adjudication system. You will help ensure secure, zero-downtime deployments across API services, Dynamics components, and VA.gov integrations.
Basic Requirements:
· Ability to successfully obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation.
· Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States.
· Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years.
· Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Additional Qualifications:
· Experience in backend service development using modern programming languages.
· Familiarity with RESTful APIs, integrations, and asynchronous processing.
· Understanding of cloud deployment patterns and automated testing.
· Ability to troubleshoot production issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
· Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and security.
Responsibilities:
· Support automated build and deployment pipelines for Travel Pay API, Claim Ingest API, and related services.
· Maintain secure configuration of cloud environments and network components.
· Integrate monitoring systems to track API performance, workflow latency, and error rates.
· Troubleshoot deployment failures, infrastructure issues, and cross-system IP connectivity.
· Ensure compliance with VA requirements: IPv6, TIC 3.0, encryption, logging, and ATO-aligned operational controls.
· Implement no-downtime deployment strategies in coordination with development teams.
· Support automated test framework integration into CI/CD pipelines.
· Participate in on-call rotations for critical BTSSS infrastructure events.
