Alteryx is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Prague Lab Engineering team. The team builds and maintains the Lab Environment Infrastructure that powers internal development, testing, and experimentation across Alteryx’s diverse ecosystem of data and enterprise systems.

Position Overview

In this role, you will develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions, help optimize our lab infrastructure, and collaborate closely with peers across engineering and operations. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies - from cloud and containers to databases and enterprise applications - while contributing to scalable, reliable, and secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and maintain Lab environments for multiple test systems and data platforms.

• Build and maintain automation scripts for provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

• Develop, manage, and optimize Docker images and container-based workloads.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, including troubleshooting and improving build and deployment processes.

• Monitor infrastructure health and participate in incident investigation and resolution.

• Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to ensure reproducibility and reliability of environments.

• Document environment configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Work primarily with AWS, with occasional exposure to Azure and GCP.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).

• Basic programming or scripting experience, preferably in Python.

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP a plus).

• Understanding of CI/CD principles and Git-based workflows.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.

Valued Skills

• Exposure to authentication systems or IAM concepts (OAuth2, SAML, Entra ID).

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.

• Experience working with databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.) or enterprise applications.

• Curiosity and ability to self-learn new technologies quickly.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Interest in automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
