The DevOps Engineer role will be an integral part of a new and growing team, playing a critical role in improving operational efficiency by building tools which can automate business processes while ensuring organization compliance
Your key responsibilities:- Drive operational excellence with automation of business processes that enhance productivity of Engineering teams
- Proactively identify opportunities for business process improvements, recommending and driving implementation of tools and technologies
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate tools and services for Security and Compliance
- Build and maintain internally developed and vendor tools utilized to support business operations
- Design and implement central observability dashboards assimilating data from various Monitoring, Alert Management and Analytics platforms
- Develop tools to support Just in Time access to Systems & Services with integration across Okta, Slack, AWS, Jira, Elastic SIEM systems
- Develop secure and compliant CI/CD pipeline frameworks which can be replicated and adopted by cross functional engineering teams
- Build tools to generate periodic reports on service availability, performance, top incidents and other key organizational metrics
- Document troubleshooting steps/runbooks/procedures via an internal knowledge base and work to share knowledge among team members
- On-call support won't be necessary at first, but may be eventually
- Strong ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies to improve business processes.
- Experience building internal platform engineering tools with Python or Go.
- Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Puppet, Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency with code repositories and deployment tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS).
- Expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux OS; solid understanding of networking and IT security.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions across teams.
