Job summary:
The candidate will be part of a team that will work on a project in the Avionics domain.
The engineer will contribute to migrations of tools from existing engineering environments to the Thales Digital Platform, getting in contact with dedicated software factories. Some migrations might also represent the transition from Clearcase to Git.
In terms of department details, the newcomer will be part of the Engineering Support Team, a transversal department which offers support to engineers from all the other local departments, in different projects. Another advantage that can be leveraged by the newcomer is the fact that he/she will have the opportunity to join an International DevOps Community with more than 400 engineers from all around the world.
You’ll need to have
Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar studies.
Good DevOps background, at least 3 years of professional experience
Good knowledge of DevOps tools (GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
Experience with Maven/Conan (build automation & dependency management)
Proven working experience with versioning systems (especially Git)
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
Set and apply DevSecOps best practices
Experience with different operating systems
Problem solving, flexibility, curiosity, collaboration
Eager to work with different programming/scripting languages (Shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
Nice to have
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Previous experience in an Agile environment – Scrum/Kanban
Previous experience with project migrations (eg. Jenkins-Gitlab CI, AWS-Azure, Clearcase-Git, etc.)
Good knowledge of DevSecOps tools (SonarQube, Coverity, etc)
Infrastructure as Code related skills
Experience with Ansible
Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD/CKS)
Clearcase versioning system competencies – highly appreciated
Project migrations
Support on DevOps pipelines in Microsoft Azure
DevOps tools (GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
DevSecOps tools (SonarQube, Coverity, etc)
Team spirit, pair programming, continuous improvement culture
Awareness on Agile methodologies
English – mandatory
