Join the DevTools team at Grab, where we focus on cloud engineering and developer tools. Our mission is to build automation and tooling that empower our platform and development teams to operate effectively and securely. Our team consists of DevOps and infrastructure engineers dedicated to making a significant impact.

Get to Know the Role 

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to lead developer platform engineering projects. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work onsite in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. We are looking for someone with cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, integration, and development skills. As we expand our regional platform capabilities, you will collaborate with a talented team on complex architectures and manage one of the largest cloud deployments in the region.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will solve well-defined problems by building individual components or features based on clear tasks and requirements.
• You will take ownership of your code, ensuring it is readable, maintainable, and well-tested.
• You will provide clear, applicable feedback during code reviews and respond constructively to feedback from others.
• You will expand your skills across several areas, including systems administration, backend coding, integration with vendor systems, cloud automation and security, SRE, and more.
• You will manage DevOps platforms, including GitLab, GitLab CI, Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• You will automate common cloud operations and develop automation scripts using Ansible, Python etc.
• You will build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 Year and above experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
• Proficient in deploying public cloud services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of platform engineering concepts around cloud, infrastructure automation, and integration.
• Unix/Linux skills, including scripting (Python or shell or other scripting languages) , system administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and building CI/CD pipelines.
