Job Description
REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT:
Reports to the Director, Delivery Software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Technical expertise in software development, IT operations, and DevOps tools and technologies.
•Creating, managing and debugging application builds in a variety of platforms.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, as well as experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure.
•Building, maintaining, and implementing new development tools and infrastructure using IaC.
•Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
•Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
•Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
•Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
•Familiarity with security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in the software development lifecycle.
•Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
•Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred or Desired:
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in an FDA regulated environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience Administrating Jira, GitHub, Jenkins or similar tools
• Experience with creating and managing virtual environments• Familiarity with package management solutions
• Experience with cloud deployments using Azureb
Required:
• Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
• Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• Proficiency with Git or another source control system
• Excellent computer skills, including the use of automation tools, scripting languages (ie: PowerShell, Python), networking systems and utilities, etc.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is essential
PAY TRANSPARENCY
The range for this position is $111,500 – $153,500. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process
