What You’ll Do: 

As a DevOps Engineer at Nexxen, you will be part of an operations team that works hand in hand with a product-focused development team. The DevOps team acts as a gateway to Nexxen’s vast data center and cloud infrastructure. You will be working with services that operate on millions of transactions per second, and that have tight latency tolerances. Our clients are brands you see every day and demand the highest performance and availability.  

This role will be based in the Bellevue office. Our team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office three days a week and remotely for the rest.  This position requires an in-person whiteboard session interview in our Bellevue location. We don't provide any travel accommodations at this time, 

Our team primarily consists of skilled Software Engineers well-versed in operating systems. To enhance the diversity of our expertise, we aim to recruit a talented DevOps Engineer. 

Each day can be different here at Nexxen, but some of the things you can expect to be doing daily are: 

• Instrumenting apps to take advantage of Nexxen’s LGTM observability stack 

• Co-design and implementation of software release automation 

• Using common automation frameworks to manage state across the stack 

• Help developer teams harness functionality from various service provider APIs 

• Write software or scripts to monitor systems and applications; revise software designs to mitigate failures in other parts of the stack; secure/harden application systems against compromise 

• Contribute and revise existing solutions to modernize with the latest advances in cloud technologies to keep environments operating efficiently 

• Ensure the platform is well-positioned to withstand chaos of all kinds 

• Provide first-line support for various data stores and data pathways 

• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical availability issues 

What Will I Bring? 

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role 

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and automation tools such GitLab CI, Jenkins, Run-Deck or similar. 

• Proficiency with a variety of programming, scripting, and configuration languages including Python and Bash 

• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Terraform. 

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as: DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, Loki, ELK stack 

• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes 

• Experience supporting cloud platforms based on AWS/GCP/Azure 

• Ability to operate in environments with strong data security obligations 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in Bellevue is $135,000 - $160,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
