The Opportunity
The Associate DevOps Engineer actively assists with the implementation and support of build and deployment software solutions in support of the full engineering team. You will participate in the automated creation and maintenance of the Cloud Infrastructure to support our projects.
The role will involve:
- Collaborating with the wider Solutions teams in various projects and initiatives
- Communication across teams, both technical and non-technical
- Assisting with the maintenance of configuration and automation tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Participating in code reviews and validation for the DevOps team
- Participate in team stand-ups
About You
To be successful as the Associate DevOps Engineer you will be curious about DevOps processes and the implementation thereof. You will be enthusiastic about automation and enjoy working in a team environment.
You will also have/be:
- Ideally a development or other technical background
- Ideally some experience with at least one scripting language
- Ideally some exposure to Azure
- Ideally some knowledge / understanding of the latest DevOps tools, technologies and best practices
- Ability to communicate with team and peers
- Appreciate the need for documentation and able to produce standard technical and process outputs, and other documents from templates
- Experience in using ticket systems (e.g. Jira)
- Experience in using code repositories (e.g. Github or Azure Repos)
