Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Red Hat and Linux systems, as well as expertise in DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will manage, troubleshoot, and ensure the optimal performance of our applications and servers, while also supporting our CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Application Management: Install, configure applications on Red Hat and Windows operating servers to ensure smooth DevOps operations.
· Active Directory: Knowledge of network configuration and Active Directory systems.
· Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues on servers and other IT equipment.
· System Monitoring: Continuously monitor server & application performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions proactively.
· Backup and Recovery: Manage backup solutions and ensure data recovery processes are in place and tested regularly.
· Collaboration: Work closely with DEV/IT team members to support various project requirements and initiatives.
· Client Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients or internal teams as needed.
· DevOps Practices: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes.
· Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks.
Good to have:
· Database knowledge: Expertise in PostgreSQL would be an added advantage.
· Configuration Management: Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to manage and configure infrastructure.
· Cloud Management: Manage cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to support scalable and reliable applications.
· Containerization: Implement and manage containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and orchestration.
· Programming Knowledge: A contribution to projects involving technologies such as PHP, Java or .NET would be an advantage
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Windows operating system, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Linux distributions.
o Strong knowledge of network configuration, Active Directory and software troubleshooting.
