We are modernizing a
large, business-critical operational platform that has evolved over many years and combines application logic, database-level rules, and partly manual operational processes. The project involves transitioning the existing solution towards a modern, cloud-native architecture, delivered by a small senior team working with heavy AI leverage.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to maintain Azure infrastructure, support application and data platform deployments, and improve automation. You will work with software engineers, data engineers, and operations teams to keep production and non-production environments reliable, secure, and maintainable. You will help teams release changes consistently and turn recurring operational problems into improvements to tooling and documentation.
This hands-on role combines routine platform administration, CI/CD, and troubleshooting. You will handle standard changes independently, with peer review and support from senior engineers for architectural decisions, complex incidents, and changes with significant production impact.

🚀 Your main responsibilities:

  • Maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform, including reusable modules, environment configuration, remote state, and reviewed deployment plans. Investigate configuration drift and help keep existing resources under version control.

  • Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, including automated checks, artifacts, approvals, build agents, and service connections.

  • Support cloud data platforms such as Azure Databricks, managing workspace settings, compute resources, permissions, storage access, and deployment configuration.

  • Deploy and maintain serverless services, particularly Azure Functions, and support Azure Event Hubs configuration, access, capacity, and monitoring.

  • Troubleshoot common networking and access issues involving DNS, private endpoints, Entra ID, RBAC, and Key Vault.

  • Maintain monitoring and alerts, investigate incidents using logs and metrics, and escalate complex issues with clear findings.

  • Support production releases and recovery testing, following established change procedures and validating services after deployment. Document results and keep rollback instructions current for routine changes.

  • Write operational scripts and runbooks, automate recurring tasks, and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary cloud resource usage through appropriate sizing, scheduling, and cleanup.

🎯 What you'll need to succeed in this role:

  • Around 3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role, including practical exposure to production environments.

  • Hands-on Azure knowledge covering compute, storage, networking, identity, and security fundamentals, including least-privilege access and secret management.

  • Practical Terraform experience with modules, variables, remote state, and safe plan/apply workflows for existing infrastructure.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, confidence using Git and pull requests, and willingness to work with both CI/CD platforms.

  • Some experience administering cloud data platforms, preferably Azure Databricks, and an understanding of compute management, permissions, and data access.

  • Familiarity with serverless operations, preferably Azure Functions, and Azure Event Hubs concepts such as partitions, consumer groups, and retention.

  • Ability to automate tasks in Python, PowerShell, or Bash and troubleshoot services using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

  • Good communication skills in English, a careful approach to production changes, and the judgement to seek support when needed.

➕ Nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks Unity Catalog or Asset Bundles, Docker, KQL, or cloud cost optimisation.

  • Experience using AI assistants for scripting and troubleshooting is also welcome.

🎁 Discover our perks & benefits:

  • Work in a supportive team of passionate enthusiasts of AI & Big Data.

  • Engage with top-tier global enterprises and cutting-edge startups on international projects.

  • Enjoy flexible work arrangements, allowing you to work remotely or from modern offices and coworking spaces.

  • Accelerate your professional growth through career development paths, knowledge-sharing initiatives, language classes, and sponsored training and conferences. Benefit from partnerships with Databricks and Anthropic, which provide access to industry-leading training materials and certification programs.

  • Participate in team-building events and utilize the integration budget.

  • Celebrate work anniversaries, birthdays, and milestones.

  • Access medical and sports packages, eye care, and well-being support services, including psychotherapy and coaching.

  • Get full work equipment for optimal productivity, including a laptop and other necessary devices.

  • With our backing, you can boost your personal brand by speaking at conferences, writing for our blog, or participating in meetups.

  • Experience a smooth onboarding with a dedicated buddy, and start your journey in our friendly, supportive, and autonomous culture.
