As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be evaluating architecture choices on an ongoing basis, in anticipation of increased scale and ever-evolving technology to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
You’ll also be:
- Managing and running production and non-production cloud platforms with no downtime to customers or colleagues
- Establishing a DevOps practice that supports and enables engineers and the business
- Deploying scalable cloud based services, such as Azure and GCP
- Responsible for automation and system provisioning, metrics, monitoring, scalability and security
- Promoting what we do to the wider bank and technology industry
We’re looking for someone who possess extensive experience and proficiency in Backstage architecture, GitLab, and scripting languages. This role requires a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, repository management, and REST APIs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to manage and optimize our development processes, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
You’ll also demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience of at least 5 years with Backstage architecture and Techdocs
- Extensive experience with GitLab, including branching, merging, repository management, and MR reviews
- Expertise in setting up and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
