DevOps Engineer in Simulation Eurofighter (d/m/f)

At Airbus Defence & Space we are developing high fidelity Eurofighter Engineering and Training Simulators for a variety of applications over the entire development lifecycle. At the core, our Simulations are distributed real-time applications. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to build, configure and deploy simulations. You will be working in an international team, located in Manching, Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• ​Setup and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines for new and existing projects

  Package and containerize complex real-time distributed applications

• Assist the integration team in automating the development and deployment processes

• Create and perform unit tests of simulation components (C++ / Python)

• Educate your fellow developers about CI/CD by creating tutorials, documentation and giving regular talks

Desired skills and qualifications

• Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or a comparable engineering subject

• Many years of relevant professional experience

• CI/CD Components (Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube) and setting up pipelines

• Various Linux distributions

• Packaging applications and libraries for multiple platforms (apt, yum, conan, docker)

• Containers and Hypervisors (Proxmox, Ovirt/RHEV, Swarm, Kubernetes)

• Configuration & Automation management tools like Ansible

• Software Version Control Systems (Git)

• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python

• Experience in C++ would be beneficial

• Very good English, written and spoken
