We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to support and enhance the delivery, reliability, security, and operational excellence of multiple enterprise applications within Cronos area. The role involves managing deployments, production support, monitoring, infrastructure automation, security compliance, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous improvement of DevOps processes across regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Work as the 1st level of support for all user queries and issues in Production for Cronos applications such as CIRP, REQ, RPDM, eClinRO, ePRO, etc.
• Manage and execute application deployments to UAT and Production environments for platforms such as CIRP, REQ, RPDM, eClinRO, ePRO, etc. ensuring adherence to approval and change management processes.
• Own and manage ServiceNow change requests, including change planning, tracking, execution, documentation, EIQ/AIQ activities, and audit readiness.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health through proactive monitoring, API health checks, response-time analysis, log collection, and troubleshooting across production environments.
• Perform infrastructure administration and upgrades, including networking, VPN tunnels, certificates, CIDR management, and cloud/on-premises connectivity in accordance with organizational standards.
• Independently execute releases and environment management activities while ensuring compliance with SDLC, validation, and regulatory requirements.
• Support validation and compliance activities by collecting and maintaining documentation required for validation packages and audit reviews.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes, including periodic validation of backups, active-active/active-passive failover testing, and DR simulation exercises.
• Administer operating system and security patching activities, including firewall management and hardening (e.g., FortiGate or equivalent enterprise firewalls).
• Provision and maintain new application environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod) and ensure consistency through automation and infrastructure standardization.
• Provide L1/L2 operational support for production incidents including application outages, access issues, deployment failures, and infrastructure-related problems.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent automation frameworks.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to reduce deployment duration, improve release reliability, and increase deployment automation.
• Drive migration and adoption of enterprise DevOps toolchains including GitLab, SonarQube, Jira, artifact repositories, and automated quality gates.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation.
• Experience with GitLab, SonarQube, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows server administration and OS patch management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and SSL certificates.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch or equivalent.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, high-availability architectures, and business continuity planning.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with regulated environments (GxP, validation, audit compliance) is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting healthcare, life sciences, or regulated enterprise applications.
