The Opportunity

A DevOps Engineer role at FICO is an opportunity to work with cutting edge cloud technologies with a team focused on delivery of secure cloud solutions and products to enterprise customers. We are looking for a highly skilled, product-focused DevOps Engineer with strong GitOps and Kubernetes expertise to help build, automate, and scale cloud-native platforms supporting enterprise-grade applications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in modern cloud environments, enjoys solving complex infrastructure and deployment challenges, and partners closely with engineering teams to drive reliable and scalable software delivery.

What You’ll Contribute 

  • Design, develop, and manage GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD 

  • Build and operate scalable, secure, and highly available Kubernetes-based platforms and applications.  

  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to optimize application deployments, scalability, reliability, and performance.  

  • Implement and maintain observability solutions including monitoring, logging, and tracing using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.  

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, CrossPlane, and AWS ACK.  

  • Develop automation and operational tooling using Python and Bash scripting.  

  • Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure including EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, and ECR.  

  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and operational best practices across cloud-native environments.  

  • Support deployment management and release automation using Helm and Kubernetes-native tooling.  

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps engineering standards, automation practices, and platform reliability. 

What We’re Seeking 

  • Solid DevOps engineering experience with a focus on product/platform engineering rather than traditional infrastructure operations.  

  • Hands-on experience implementing GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD 

  • Deep expertise with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting, scaling, and managing containerized applications in production environments.  

  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash.  

  • Solid experience with AWS cloud services including EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, and ECR.  

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.  

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, CrossPlane, and AWS ACK.  

  • Experience managing deployments and packaging applications using Helm.  

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, reliability, and DevOps best practices. 

  • Nice to have experience with Kubernetes Kustomize, Kubernetes CrossPlane. Familiarity with Kubernetes Operator Pattern.  

  • Exposure to service mesh technologies such as Istio and Envoy. 

  • Experience supporting large-scale, distributed, cloud-native applications.
