DevOps Engineer II-Remote, USA
This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining DevOps practices, tools, and processes to support the efficient and reliable delivery of applications. The DevOps Engineer II works closely with development teams to automate and streamline the software delivery pipeline, ensuring the scalability and resiliency of applications and infrastructure.
Essential Functions
- Design, implement, and maintain containerized application deployments using Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Docker Swarm and ECS
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline and Bamboo
- Manage code repositories using tools like BitBucket and GitHub
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK
- Configure and manage messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues related to application deployment and infrastructure
- Automate and streamline deployment processes using scripting and automation tools
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions for applications and infrastructure
- Contribute to the documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices related to DevOps practices
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, or system administration
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker Swarm, ECS)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, Bamboo)
- Experience with code repositories (e.g., BitBucket, GitHub)
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
