What to expect

In this role you will:

  • Work with the Product Owner and Squad members to develop, test, configure, upgrade and maintain DNS Infrastructure (BIND and Infoblox flavors) in line with agreed upon requirements
  • Work with your team to implement and operate your solutions
  • Deploy infrastructure and DNS software according to our change management processes
  • Collaborate with our internal and external customers following DevOps/Agile principles and best practices
  • Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Interact and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
  • Handle issues always focusing on continuous improvement: you will automate, educate and share knowledge transparently
  • Have an opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true DevOps agile environment.
  • This position is mission critical and offers flexible work (minimum 2 days onsite and maximum 3 days from home – per week)
  • Willing to perform weekend deployment activities and on-call on a rotational basis with peer team members (Estimated: One Saturday out of 4 weekends)

What will make you successful?

 We are seeking professionals with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in a technical operational support area
  • Hands-on experience with DDI Infrastructure particularly DNS BIND, Infoblox technologies
  • Experience provisioning/executing DNS requests in accordance with change management policies and standards on all environments
  • Experience with Python and Shell script development
  • Experience with RHEL 8.x/9.x Operating System – Familiar with OS commands, networking, disk volumes, process, basic health monitoring knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, able to develop playbooks, test and deploy
  • Quick learner and capable of troubleshooting DNS related and configuration issues
  • Customer oriented and quality mindset – we continually strive to deliver true customer value
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Ability to work well in both a team (pair programming) and individual environment
  • Agile mindset and be able to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills, open-minded, solutions oriented
  • Support the PO and squads technical lead to bring in DNS Architecture design and assist under guidance to implementation
  • Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Contribute and execute DNS product roadmap/evolution – upgrades and new features under the guidance of Technical Lead
  • Problem solving and assists with any recommended remediation/ changes to correct (example: script and automate routine tasks)
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow tools for collaboration
  • Familiarity with Resilience and Operational Excellence concepts
  • Familiarity with concepts like Zero Touch/Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Knowledge of IT Security

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $73,990.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $137,410.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employee’s contingent on personal and company performance. Our generous benefits program includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance with no premium costs for our employees and their families, and retirement plan plus matching 401k.
