Job Description
Tasks:
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the ongoing development and seamless operation of services within the Bosch Development Cloud – a customized software development environment hosted in the Microsoft Azure public cloud platform, utilized across all business units at Bosch
- Take responsibility: In the role of DevOps Engineer you will be an integral part of an agile team. You design and implement concepts for the stable, automated operation for cloud services within the Bosch Development Cloud
- Experience cooperation: You understand the requirements of our internal customers and users in regards to visionary development approaches and thereby contribute to the strengthening of world-wide distributed Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environments in the cloud
- Reliable implementation: You will ensure that the services are secure, scalable, reliable and monitored.
- With a strong technical understanding of Infrastructure as Code and programming in the public cloud, you will be part of a team responsible for operating a platform used on a wide scale by a large user base
Qualifications
Required knowledge competencies and attributes
- Personality: enthusiastic, good team player, flexible, responsible
- Experience: Professional experience in software development or related discipline. Strong experience in automation frameworks (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) or public cloud environments. Good understanding of Linux operating systems, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM) and test automation. Proven experience in operation and maintenance of a large-scale IT platform
- Knowledge: Skills in agile software development (e.g. Scrum), usage of relevant DevOps Tools, build management and test automation
- Working Practice: goal-oriented and self-reliant
- Enthusiasm: Interest in current and emerging IT cloud technologies. Adapting to newer technologies, different tools and frameworks.
- Communication: Strong presentation, verbal communication and written communications skills, internation team
