Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will assist in designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining Apache Flink and Apache Beam clusters on Kubernetes within the Azure cloud platform. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure the clusters meet basic performance and availability requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in provisioning and managing Azure resources for Apache Flink and Apache Beam clusters, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Storage, and Networking components.
- Support senior engineers in designing Flink and Beam clusters optimized for Kubernetes and Azure.
- Help implement automation scripts and orchestration tools to streamline workflows.
- Learn and assist in defining Kubernetes configurations, including pods, services, and ingress controllers.
- Participate in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Apache Flink and Apache Beam clusters on Kubernetes.
- Assist in monitoring cloud infrastructure, identifying issues, and escalating problems as needed.
- Support the implementation of Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for tracking cluster performance.
- Work with senior engineers to configure auto-scaling and resource optimization strategies.
- Contribute to documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and best practices.
- Learn and adopt DevOps practices for managing Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with the team to align cloud infrastructure with business needs.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues related to cloud services.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, or distributed systems.
- Basic understanding of Apache Flink, Apache Beam, and Kubernetes concepts.
- Exposure to Azure cloud services, including AKS and related components.
- Experience with Python for scripting or basic application development.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a cloud engineering role.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies and stream processing frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for Kubernetes.
- Certifications in Kubernetes, Azure, or related technologies (a plus).

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $108,212
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
