DevOps Engineer

About the Role
This role will focus on automating and supporting our Cloud infrastructure and application deployment processes and tasks to improve our capabilities and service offerings with greater self-service abilities using infra-as-code principles, DevOps tools and open-source technologies. You'll leverage your expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (using Argo or similar tool), and Observability tools to ensure our applications and infrastructure are resilient and can be seamlessly recovered.
What You Will Do
- Ensure Gartner’s enterprise application environments are stable, reliable, and secure. Meet and exceed SLA's/OLA's.
- Support technology leaders to advance our application platforms and automation pipelines.
- Configure and manage Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation and migration to CloudBees.
- Implement and utilize Argocd (or similar tool) for efficient CI/CD workflows.
- Provide status reports for the Team Manager, Sr. Director and VP of Application Services in Enterprise Technology and Operations.
- Support our security, performance, observability, and resiliency frameworks.
- Support AppDev teams to ensure delivery of desired business outcomes
- Maintain Service Levels and department goals for Incident and Problem resolution.
- Support automation efforts across DevOps team utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), micro service-based cloud deployments and CI & CD.
- Work on container orchestration technologies [EKS].
- Work on Cloud Providers like AWS and Azure.
- Be part of our rotational on-call support
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
- 2 to 4 years of Information Technology experience with 2 years of relevant experience in AWS, automation and DevOps tools.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform (must have)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like Secret Manager, Lambda, S3, Elasticache, IAM, SQS, SNS, OpenSearch, API Gateway (must have)
- Hands-on proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration, (must have)
- Knowledge on Helm (must have)
- Hands-on Experience with Argocd or similar CI/CD pipeline orchestration tool. (must have)
- Experience with Jenkins/CloudBees for CI/CD automation. (must have)
- Experience with one or more Observability tools such as Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Splunk (highly desired)
- Knowledge of CDN like Cloudfront/CloudFlare and its disaster recovery capabilities is an added advantage (highly desired)
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Ansible).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams.
