At Ness, people come first. Here, you'll be part of a vibrant team that values curiosity, innovation, and growth. We work with industry-leading clients on projects that truly make an impact while supporting every team member in carving out their unique career path. With resources for learning, certifications, and hands-on experiences, Ness offers you more than just a job—it’s a place where your ideas, ambition, and well-being matter.
The RoleWe're changing how we build software. AI coding assistants and agents are becoming part of every step of our development lifecycle, and we want someone who will help make this real across our development squads: an AI-native SDLC, where developers and AI tools work together from design to production.
You are a developer at heart with a strong DevOps background, or a DevOps engineer who came from development. You understand the end-to-end development process, you build the internal software factory our developers rely on (CI/CD, tooling, quality gates, templates), and you bring AI into it in a practical, measurable way.
Salary: from 3.000 EUR/month, depending on skills and experience + benefits. The final offer for the selected candidate will reflect the candidate´s comprehensive assessment, skills, and past work experience.
Location: Slovakia only
- Help build an AI-native SDLC: identify where AI can make the biggest difference across the lifecycle and put it in place
- Introduce, set up and roll out AI coding assistants and agents for the squads, together with shared guidelines, prompts, rules and reusable configurations
- Integrate AI into the software factory, for example AI-assisted code review in pull requests, pipeline failure analysis, release notes and documentation
- Design, implement and improve CI/CD pipelines on the shared tooling (Jenkins pipeline as code, Bitbucket, SonarQube, artifact repositories), from build and test to release and deployment
- Build practical solutions for developers - tools, automation, project templates and golden paths that remove friction from their daily work
- Work hands-on in the codebase (Java, Node.js) when needed, so solutions fit how the teams actually develop
- Train and coach developers on new tools and practices, and help squads adopt them
- Contribute to shared DevOps and AI practices together with experienced engineers
- Passionate, results-focused, good communicator
- Experience working in a corporate environment
- Strong relationship management skills
- Team player and motivator
- Self-driven, with genuine curiosity about new technologies
- Comfortable influencing and advising development teams rather than only executing tasks
- Very good level of spoken and written English
Key skillsets:
- Development - strong skills in Java and/or Node.js (mandatory)
- SDLC - solid understanding of the end-to-end development process, from code to production
- CI/CD - hands-on experience implementing pipelines and/or building an internal software factory; Jenkins (pipeline as code), Git and Bitbucket workflows, static analysis (SonarQube), artifact repositories (Nexus, JFrog)
- Developer solutions - ability to design and put in place tools and automation developers actually want to use
- AI tools - practical experience with AI coding assistants and agents beyond chatbot level, real enthusiasm for the topic and interest in helping build an AI-native SDLC. No specific AI or ML expertise is required
- Scripting - Bash, Python or Groovy
- English - advanced, both written and verbal (mandatory)
- Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI agents and automations (e.g. MCP, agent frameworks)
- Public cloud AWS and/or Azure, containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Observability - metrics, alerting and dashboards
- Agile software methodology - SCRUM, KANBAN
