The Role

ABOUT THIS POSITION

As a DevOps Architect, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of our DevOps practices, leading complex infrastructure projects, and driving innovation across our technology stack. You will work closely with leadership and other key stakeholders to align DevOps strategies with overall business goals. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, visionary thinking, and the ability to influence and lead at the highest levels.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the overall DevOps strategy and vision in alignment with the company’s business objectives. Develop long-term plans for infrastructure and DevOps improvements.
  • Architectural Design: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. Establish architectural best practices and standards.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation in DevOps practices, tools, and technologies. Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance efficiency, performance, and security.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, engineering, and IT teams to align DevOps initiatives with business needs. Influence and guide cross-functional teams in implementing best practices.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Tackle and resolve complex technical challenges related to homegrown continuous deployment tool, infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. Provide high-level troubleshooting and resolution strategies.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes and workflows. Implement advanced automation techniques and optimize resource utilization.
  • Vendor Management: Ensuring the tools, services and solution provided by vendors align with the organization technical requirement and strategic goals

Mentoring & Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior to senior level DevOps engineers. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence within the team.
Security & Compliance: Establish and enforce security policies and practices for both cloud and on-premises environments. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for DevOps practices. Use data-driven insights to drive improvements and measure the success of initiatives.
Project Oversight: Lead high-impact DevOps projects, oversee successful implementation of DevOps Practices.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

10+ years of .NET, SQL Server and DevOps related fields, with a significant track record of leading complex infrastructure projects and setting strategic direction.
Technical Expertise:

  • Infrastructure Management: Deep experience with managing both cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure at scale.
  • CI/CD Tools: Expertise in CI/CD tools and technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD CircleCI).
  • Automation & Scripting: Advanced proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Containers & Orchestration: Extensive experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to develop and execute long-term strategies for infrastructure and DevOps practices. Strong business acumen and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with experience mentoring senior engineers and leading large-scale initiatives. Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to executive stakeholders and collaborate across various teams.
  • Problem-Solving: High-level problem-solving abilities with a track record of resolving complex technical and organizational challenges.
  • Security & Compliance: Comprehensive understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in both cloud and on-premises environments.
