Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical assemblies using detailed work instructions, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Assemble, calibrate, and test small liquid handling components, including pipetting tools and fluidic subsystems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fluidic issues during builds and testing
  • Ensure assemblies meet performance specifications and quality standards
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and compliance
  • Support engineering with prototype builds, improvements, and documentation updates
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Maintain inventory of job materials and components
  • Document build and test results accurately in required systems
  • Up to 10% domestic travel
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Qualification/Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3–6 years of electrical and mechanical assembly experience
  • Direct experience working with small liquid handling systems, pipetting mechanisms, or precision fluidics required
  • Experience calibrating and validating liquid handling performance is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production and engineering environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Knowledge of Jira and PLM/ERP systems is a plus
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license required

Skills Required
