As Device Interface Engineer (m/f/d), you will work in the Device Interface Department working for our different ATE system being responsible to support our internal and external customers with following main tasks:
- Take over responsibility for the design of electrical device interface solutions, including:
Cost calculation, Project planning, Specification, Drawing of schematics, Simulation, Initiation of mechanical parts design, Initiation of PCB design, Support of PCB design, Documentation, Transfer of design into production, Final test and quality assurance - Develop test concept for semiconductor devices in close cooperation with our customers and test engineers
- Analyze and define customer's technical and economical requirements supporting pre-sales activities working closely with account sales and business unit business development teams
- Support customer during test concept evaluation with solid knowledge of PCB design know-how
- Communicate with internal and external customers (in terms of design, development production and quality assurance), building deep and trustworthy relationships.
- Defines, drives and develops new DI standards e.g. templates, tools, “cookbooks” or “handbooks” for process and standardization
- Take care of bring-up and repair procedures of high complex PCBAs
- Ramp and mentor junior device interface application engineers with specific focus on PCB design
- University Degree in Electronic Engineering (Bachelor/Master) or excellent degree as “Techniker” with proven record of knowledge in the semiconductor industry
- Demonstrated experience of at least 5+ years in complex PCB layout and design tasks
- Demonstrated knowledge of at least 5+ years of PCB manufacturing technologies
- Knowledge and demonstrated know how of PCB soldering and assembly techniques.
- Fundamental knowledge of IPC600 and IPC610 standards for QA inspection
- Fundamental knowledge of PCB Design Software (such as Altium Designer and/or Cadence Allegro)
- proven skills in project management
- Good Communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
- Ability and motivation to work in teams and in global environment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and to work under pressure
- Driver license and willingness to travel
- Fluent English language skills
- Relevant experience in semiconductor business
- Experience in digital, mixed signal and automotive test development and debug on ATE systems (preferred 3-5 years)
Skills Required
