Job Description

  • Newly created position for an experienced client-side hospitality Project Manager, supporting a strong pipeline of refurbishment projects
  • End to end project management and delivery of venue refurbishments
  • Based in Brisbane

As a Development Project Manager, you will manage the design, approvals and delivery of pub refurbishment projects across Queensland.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Delivery of the pub refurbishment program across predominantly Queensland venues
  • End to end project management of refurbishment projects including:
    • Scoping and feasibility of projects
    • Management of external consultants
    • Lead the design development process from concept through detailed documentation
    • Manage DA/BA/Liquor Licence approvals and regulatory compliance
    • Tender, negotiate and appoint contractors
    • Oversee construction delivery across multiple live hospitality sites
    • Manage cost control, variations and financial reporting
    • Ensure minimal disruption to trading operations
    • Lead project handover including defect management
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules, cost plans, specifications and construction standards
  • Overseeing project budgets, builders’ scope of works, documentation and contract administration
  • Ongoing review of builders performance, including scope, program, materials and on-site costs
  • Opportunity to influence design and operational outcomes

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • Extensive experience in the end-to-end delivery of pub/hospitality refurbishments is essential.
  • Proven experience in client-side construction project management within live environments.
  • Strong understanding of Liquor and Gaming regulations. 
  • Experience managing design, town planning, and specialist consultants.
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • This role will require regular travel
