Development Operations Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our iHub Claristate team in Belgrade. This is an amazing opportunity to work on an AWS serverless-based application within Clarivate IP Group. We would love to speak with you if you have experience in promoting excellence for cloud and DevOps practices!
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• 2+ years of experience with AWS or with other cloud platforms
• 1+ years of experience developing pipelines on a build server (Jenkins/Bamboo/or similar)
• 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes (or similar)
• 1+ years of experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
   

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Any previous scripting experience (Linux/Bash/Python or similar)
• AWS Cloud Certification and/or Kubernetes Certification
• Experience with Datadog or with any other monitoring tool(s)
• Ability to support database servers like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL
   

What will you be doing in this role?

• Developing infrastructure-as-code and automated scripts meant for building or deploying workloads in various environments through CI/CD pipelines
• Supporting cloud-based solutions by building and managing infrastructures in AWS
• Automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Developing and maintaining scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks
• Promotion and evangelization of DevOps best practices (CI, CD, automated testing, branching strategy, decoupling, etc.)
• Simplification and improvement of software delivery/release processes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and develop software solutions
   

Product you will be developing
Integration Hub (iHub) allows developers in all parts of Clarivate to share innovations using our platform-agnostic approach including data transportation, format transparency, and micro-front-end UIs. This platform aims to enable the integration and exchange of data between several internal applications. Claristate is a services infrastructure on iHub that enables transparent workflows and state management for business processes. It ensures clear roles, centralizes data interpretation, and simplifies workflow management, improving auditability, versioning, and integration consistency.
 

About the team
This is an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of the iHub Claristate team as well as the broader DevOps team of 5 members, participating in global DevOps initiatives. This position reports to the Senior DevOps Engineering Manager. We foster a supportive and collaborative environment, and you can expect to have a senior DevOps colleague to assist you with your onboarding and ongoing work.

Hours of Work  

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone. This position will also require on-call duty rotation every 5th week.

This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
