We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity within Clarivate to support the Clarivate AI Platform team which drives AI Innovation across all Clarivate’s portfolio of products serving customers worldwide.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Minimum 2 years of experience in software automation and system administration including minimum 2 years of experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, ECS, IAM, CloudFormation), minimum 1 year of experience with Terraform driven Infrastructure as Code (IaC), minimum 1 year of experience working with cloud security fundamentals, including IAM, GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Proficiency in English
It would be great if you also had…
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Groovy
Strong UNIX/Linux command-line skills with ability to write effective Bash scripts to automate procedures and workflows
Experience with EKS/Kubernetes, including both cluster administration and deploying applications to clusters
Experience with observability/monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana
Familiarity with Databricks and Delta Lake tools
What will you be doing in this role?
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Development Kits (CDKs) and/or scripting languages such as Python/Shell
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application/service deployment and testing
Support, troubleshoot, and maintain build and test environments in cloud and on-premises infrastructure
Ensure security and cost best practices are followed early in the development phase (including IAM, least privilege, and secrets management)
Partner with different teams to support application deployments into production, including refreshed existing applications and new initiatives
About the Product
As a DevOps Engineer within Clarivate you will be supporting the build and deploy processes for the Clarivate AI Platform which supports the AI integration of products such as Web of Science Research Intelligence, ProQuest Research Assistant, Primo Research Assistant, TDM Studio, Alma Metadata Assistant, Alma Specto, and many other products in our portfolio. These products serve academic institutions, researchers, and libraries worldwide with critical research and discovery solutions.
About the Team
Our team is spread across multiple locations worldwide, and in this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the United States, Europe, and Asia time zones. You will report directly to the DevOps Engineering Manager.
Hours of Work
This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone. This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
