Position Summary
The Development Operations Coordinator is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly processing of all financial donations by participating in the entry and maintenance of gift processing. This position will ensure all donations and contributions are entered into the donor tracking systems accurately and in a timely fashion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Development Operations Coordinator will be comfortable learning new technology, as well as an eagerness to utilize Arkansas Foodbank software systems. They will possess strong interpersonal skills, a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, and a commitment to hunger relief.
1. Accurately enter all gifts into donor management systems (DonorPerfect), including checks, cash, credit card, online, and direct mail donations processed through the lockbox system.
2. Ensure the secure and confidential handling of all donor and financial information.
3. Maintain data integrity by ensuring all contributions are accurately coded in the donor database.
4. Manage and record tribute gifts.
5. Generate and distribute the monthly donor birthday report.
6. Prepare and analyze the weekly goal vs. revenue report.
7. Ensure accurate entry of all event attendees and associated gifts within event management systems.
8. Proactively manage the donor database in collaboration with the Development Operations Specialist and Director of Development Operations, including ongoing data quality monitoring.
9. Process ACH and payroll deductions and enter credit card donations in a timely manner.
10. Respond promptly and professionally to telephone, mail, and email inquiries, delivering a high level of customer service.
11. Collaborate with the Development team on planning and goal-setting, ensuring optimal use of the database to support departmental objectives.
12. Serve as backup support for front desk operations as needed.
13. Manage the organization’s matching gift program, including tracking, processing, and recording matching gifts in both payment systems and the CRM.
14. Provide backup support to the Director of Development Operations for mail processing.
15. Provide administrative assistance and support special projects for the Development team.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred for the candidate or employee, however, other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of management.
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) preferably in Social Work, Business, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Health Administration, or a related field.
Or
- Associate degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and two years database management experience.
- Experience utilizing or managing donor database preferred.
· Valid Arkansas driver’s license and proof of insurance required
· Must pass a background check
· Must pass a preemployment drug screening
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree (preferred fields: Social Work, Business, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Health Administration or related)
- OR Associate degree and two years database management experience
- Experience utilizing or managing a donor database
- Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of insurance
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a preemployment drug screening
