Number of Positions: 1Position Overview
The Development Manager will support and expand City Year Jacksonville’s philanthropic initiatives, including management of grants, corporate sponsors and individual, mid-level and major gifts that support the organization. Reporting to the Managing Director of Advancement, the Development Manager will be responsible for developing a strategy to create and grow a sustainable revenue pipeline of prospective investors. This position will also assist with alignment of communications work to support fundraising.Job Description
Grant Management
Research and identify new private grant opportunities
Write and submit grant applications and reports
Donor Prospecting and Stewardship
Implement an individual giving strategy to increase funding for City Year Jacksonville
Strategize, oversee, and manage the cultivation and stewardship efforts for current and future annual donors ($1 – $999)
Lead all direct mail and email fundraising campaigns
Manage the Community Team, donors who have contributed at least $500 to support a specific City Year partner school. Steward current Community Team donors and recruit new members of the Community Team.
Development Operations
Lead the site’s Development Operations including gift processing, donor services, and database management
Partner with department leadership to create and monitor annual budget and fundraising goals
Manage department purchases and ordering of supplies
Communications Management
Lead site efforts to promote the City Year brand in Jacksonville. Create and implement strategies to boost brand awareness and reputation.
Manage City Year Jacksonville social media accounts, primarily Instagram and LinkedIn. Collect and create content for these platforms.
Manage and send monthly site newsletter.
Site and Organizational Collaboration
Support in any regular site centering meetings with staff or departments concerning fundraising and stakeholder engagement efforts which work to drive fund generation.
Work collaboratively with other site departments, other City Year sites, and City Year headquarters on a frequent basis.
Support and attend all major site events, including fundraisers, service days, trainings and other activities and initiatives.
