In a direct response to the increased demand and complexity of Cyber Risk, Marsh Ireland are seeking the appointment of an ambitious, motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our Cyber team.
The individual concerned will join an existing team of motivated and enthusiastic technical Cyber specialists that are dedicated in providing Clients with Cyber Risk Service Solutions. Working closely with this team the successful candidate will benefit from comprehensive on the job training and education on Marsh Cyber solutions and services.
This key role will involve maintaining responsibility and accountability for the creation and identification of new business opportunities, building and maintaining existing and prospective client relationships and working in collaboration with colleagues across the wider Marsh business to deliver our Cyber Value Proposition to new and existing clients and to drive new business revenue growth within the Cyber/Specialty practice.
This represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate with previous insurance experience (must be CIP qualified), ideally from a broking background, but not necessarily having significant existing Cyber and/or Financial Lines experience, and who possesses the required growth mindset, to transition themselves into a Trusted Risk and Innovated Cyber Advisor.
With support from the wider business and the existing Team, the individual will develop strong expertise on Cyber risk, technical Cyber product knowledge and in addition will gain an in-depth understanding of and ability to articulate the Marsh Cyber Ireland Value Proposition.
The role will be based in one of our ROI offices situated in Dublin or Cork or Galway and offers a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. It will require a commitment to travel to colleague, client and prospect meetings.
The successful candidate will be exclusively focused and dedicated to New & Expanded Cyber/Tech and FINPRO Product and Solution Sales. They will be tasked to support and implement an ambitious growth strategy and to achieve short, medium and long term growth targets.

We will rely on you to:
- Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of Marsh’s CyberTech value proposition and develop technical working knowledge of CyberTech & FINPRO products.
- Actively seek and develop relationships with prospects and client contacts. While maintaining control and oversight of Cyber active client target/prospect list.
- Develop market profile, attend Industry Trade events/shows, compose marketing materials and insights for wider circulation on social media and Company marketing distribution.
- Draft and deliver new business presentations and support colleagues in the creation and development of expanded new business opportunities
- Identify potential growth areas, whitespace opportunities and newly developed cover solutions.
- Review Client Risk Assessments and identify potential opportunities for the provision of additional Marsh Advisory/Consulting and Incident Management services aswell as oversee, manage and coordinate the wider Cyber Advisory and Claims Incident Management services.
- Work with other business stakeholders to create increased Cross-selling opportunities. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets and objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities while collaborating with marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development strategies.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics and suggest improvements.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and generate leads alongside staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
