POSITION OVERVIEW

The Development Engineer/Scientist will contribute to the development of quality products and processes

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop commercially valuable products and processes.
  • Explore innovative solutions to real world problems.
  • Use wide range of technical knowledge and technical aptitude to work on a variety of short term and long-term projects as part of a team.
  • Participate in the creative process along with others from diverse technical backgrounds.
  • Develop patented or trade secret protected products and processes.
  • Research and evaluate outside technology that can be incorporated into successful products and processes.
  • Design and execute experiments that provide technical insight regarding future products and processes.
  • Work with a team that requires a detailed understanding of the fundamental science involved in making a successful product.
  • Develop and improve products related to dimming technologies, sensing, nanotechnology, thin film coatings, biomedical or other technical fields

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Technical expertise – demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge and skill in a technical area.
  • Cultivate innovation – create new and better ways for the organization to be successful.
  • Foster teamwork – build effective partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
  • Maintain high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Science or related field or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and 3 years’ experience in a technical role.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge.

WHAT WILL HELP

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in multiple disciplines that may include materials, chemistry, physics, and mechanical is preferred
