The Role
Kyndryl is seeking a skilled Development Engineer - RPA Blue Prism to develop, enhance, support, and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions for enterprise banking and business platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Blue Prism development, production support, automation design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of business processes. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, application teams, and support teams to ensure stable, scalable, and efficient automation services. The role includes both RPA development and L2/L3 production support responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using Blue Prism in line with business requirements.
- Build and maintain reusable Blue Prism objects, processes, and automation frameworks to support scalable RPA delivery.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and application teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Monitor and maintain production RPA processes, ensuring high availability, reliability, and operational stability.
- Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot bot failures, resolve exceptions, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Support production releases, platform upgrades, environment changes, and operational governance activities.
- Continuously optimize existing automations to improve performance, maintainability, exception handling, and recovery mechanisms.
- Identify automation opportunities, drive process standardization, and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support knowledge-transition activities across teams.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years of hands-on Blue Prism development and support in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Blue Prism (v6.x/v7.x), including Process Studio, Object Studio, workflow design, and automation development.
- Proven experience in RPA solution design, development, testing, deployment, and environment migration across multiple environments.
- Hands-on experience with Blue Prism Control Room operations, queue management, scheduling, monitoring, and bot administration.
- Strong knowledge of exception handling, debugging, root cause analysis, and production support for business-critical automation processes.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, SQL development, and working knowledge of VB.NET for automation enhancements and integrations.
- Experience working with SQL Server and Oracle databases, including query optimization, data analysis, and stored procedure development.
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
- Good understanding of Windows Server, RHEL/Linux environments, and enterprise infrastructure supporting RPA platforms.
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, REST APIs, and integration technologies to support end-to-end automation solutions.
- Experience using ServiceNow, JIRA, Git, and Agile/DevOps methodologies, with a preference for candidates holding Blue Prism Professional Developer/Solution Designer certifications and experience supporting banking or regulated industry processes.
