In order to support the continued growth of Trinseo Engineering Materials in Asia Pacific, we are seeking an additional R&D professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative solutions, with a primary focus on polycarbonate-based materials, to address the evolving needs of the consumer electronics market. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers to drive new product development, technical innovation, and market growth.
职责- Serve as the technical focal point for customers, identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Lead technical discussions with customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate project execution.
- Provide technical support to strategic customers across Greater China.
- Partner closely with commercial team to identify unmet customer needs and translate them into product development opportunities.
- Develop innovative products, with a focus on customer-driven solutions and market needs.
- Generate high-quality technical reports, including CRI and other project documentation, to support product development and commercialization.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development and customer-facing technical support.
- Strong knowledge of polymer science, engineering plastics, and plastics processing technologies is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in engineering plastics formulation, compounding, injection molding, and application development is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with customers to understand technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Fluent in Mandarin with a good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in product development and customer-facing technical support
- Knowledge of polymer science, engineering plastics, and plastics processing technologies
- Hands-on experience with engineering plastics formulation, compounding, injection molding, and application development
- Experience working with customers to understand technical challenges and develop solutions
- Fluent Mandarin and good written and spoken English
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
